Cancellation
In line with distance selling regulations, you have the right to cancel your purchase within seven days of receiving your first delivery. Please contact us at [email protected] to cancel. If you wish to cancel an ongoing subscription you can do so by emailing us at [email protected]. Cancellations to continuing subscriptions must be received at least 10 days before your subscription is due to be despatched.
Refunds
If you have cancelled your order within seven days (as above) then you are entitled to a full refund once we have had the goods returned to us. If you have paid for a 3, 6 or 12 month subscription and wish to cancel after the first box has been delivered, then a pro-rata refund will be given for the remainder of the subscription. You can pause your subscription at any time by emailing us at [email protected] at least 10 days before your subscription is due to be despatched.
Ongoing Monthly Subscriptions
By subscribing to a Gently Used Book Club Box on an ongoing monthly subscription you are agreeing to pay recurring periodic subscriptions for an indefinite time until cancelled by you or us. You can deactivate your subscription at any time by logging in to your account or by emailing us at [email protected].
Price Increases
We will not increase the monthly price of a subscription (including postal charges where they apply) within the first 12 months of your subscription.
Payment terms
Once we receive your order we will take payment via Stripe. Ongoing subscription payments will be processed through Stripe on a specified date each month and will continue unless cancellation instructions are received by us. Your goods will not be despatched unless your payment has been successfully processed. Should we need to change the date of your payment for any reason we will inform you in advance. Likewise if you wish to change the date of your payment you can do so by emailing us at [email protected]
Delivery charges
All of our prices are inclusive of delivery within the UK.
Delivery
We will deliver to the address you specify for delivery as part of the checkout process. It is important that this address is correct. If we do not have the correct address we cannot be held responsible for non-delivery of orders. If you change your address we must be notified at least 5 days before your order is due to ship. Delivery times are not guaranteed. Should we need to alter your specified despatch date for any reason we will give you reasonable notice. Orders are shipped by Royal Mail 48 Hour service. Delivery times are not guaranteed as they are sometimes subject to delay from external forces.
Marketing
We will not send marketing emails to you unless you have agreed to this. We will not sell your data or use it for any purpose other than to select books for you. Once your subscription has ended we will delete all your data securely.
Ownership of rights
All rights, including copyright, in this website are owned by or licensed to The Gently Used Book Club. Any use of this website or its contents, including copying or storing it or them in whole or part, other than for your own personal, non-commercial use, is prohibited without our permission. You may not modify, distribute or repost anything on this website for any purpose, without first seeking our permission to do so.
